Volodymyr Vakhitov is a Behavioral Economist who happened to find himself in the middle of the war. His work focuses on intangible aspects of forced displacement: the effect of national identity on return, social capital and connections of the temporary displaced Ukrainians, their perceptions of war-related risks, homesickness, and aspirations to move or stay in war-affected zones.
