Project for the integration of mentally stressed refugees

To meet this deficit in the standard care system for refugees, an integration project aimed to support refugees with mental health complications was established in Konstanz. A coordination center transfers the patients to local, certified therapists. Bilingual, previously trained health guides take care of the refugees and support them during their therapy. The main focus of research lies on the mental health of patients and the health guides involved in the project as well as the experiences of the the psychotherapists involved.
