Short description
The research focuses on the question: Which civil society actors, in particular which self-help and migrant organisations, are active in the field of action of integrating refugees who are entitled to stay into training and work, and how does the professional network of the non-profit sector cooperate with the informal and market-related networks? - Overall, there has been little research to date on the question of what contribution self-help and migrant organisations make to the integration of new immigrants into German society. In the mostly locally and regionally oriented contributions, the topics of vocational training and unemployment are addressed but not dealt with in depth. Other studies have focused on the cooperation of migrant and non-migrant organisations, and specifically on the cooperation of migrant organisations and municipalities. In addition to self-help and migrant organisations, the voluntary engagement of people without a migration background also plays a greater role in supporting (young) refugees.
Due to the nature of the study, the research questions can only be answered locally. The city of Munich is particularly suitable as a location for an exemplary case study.
